Basketball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for WISH Academy

WISH Academy waltzed into their match on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They were the clear victor by a 65-39 margin over the SEED: LA Grizzlies. The Owls pushed the score to 48-26 by the end of the third, a deficit the Grizzlies had little chance of recovering from.

When it comes to explaining why SEED: LA lost, don't look at Devin Williams. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double on ten points and 13 boards. Williams is also on a roll when it comes to blocks, as he's now posted three or more in the last six games he's played. Another player making a difference was Rayan Juma, who went 7 of 16 en route to 21 points along with six boards and four steals.

WISH Academy now has a winning record of 3-2. As for SEED: LA, their loss dropped their record down to 5-5.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing Hawthorne Math & Science Academy the next time they take the court. WISH Academy will head out to face Hawthorne Math & Science Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, while SEED: LA will host them at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
