Volleyball Recap: Rock Bridge Takes Loss Despite Strong Efforts from Chloe Bakker and Terry Schrock

After flying high against Smith-Cotton on Thursday, Rock Bridge came back down to earth. The Bruins took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Staley Falcons on Saturday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Bruins of the 2-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2017.

Rock Bridge's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Terry Schrock, who had ten digs and two assists, and Chloe Bakker, who had 12 assists. Bakker is on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 12 or more in each of the last three games she's played.

Rock Bridge's defeat dropped their record down to 11-7. As for Staley, they now have a winning record of 5-4.

Rock Bridge wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Eldon on the 20th. As for Staley, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Nixa on the 20th.
