It's playoff time, and Del Norte had no trouble coming through when it counted. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Eastlake Titans 3-2. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent victory being a 3-1 win back in April.

It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day Del Norte got the one that really mattered. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 23-25, 25-22, 15-25, 15-12.

Nathan Turman had a dynamite game, getting 12 digs and three aces. That's the most aces he has posted since back in February.

Turman wasn't the only good server: Del Norte was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 13 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in six consecutive matchups.

Del Norte's victory bumped their record up to 21-18. As for Eastlake, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 20-14.

Coming up, Del Norte will square off against St. Augustine at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Saints will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something the Nighthawks surely won't give up without a fight. Eastlake does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
