The Trinity Christian Warriors will venture away from home to challenge the New Way Learning Academy Bulldogs at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Trinity Christian is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.7 runs per game this season.
Trinity Christian was handed a heart-breaking two-run loss in their last contest, but they sure didn't let that happen against Heritage Academy on Tuesday. The Warriors put the hurt on the Heroes with a sharp 11-4 victory. The Warriors might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six games by seven runs or more this season.
Josh Partin made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out 12 batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off three hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in six consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-4 with two RBI and one run.

In other batting news, Henry Patterson was excellent, going 3-for-4 with three runs and one RBI. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. Ethan Feddema was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two runs and two RBI.
Meanwhile, New Way Learning Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 18-8 to Ajo. On the bright side, the eight- run effort marked the Bulldogs' highest-scoring match to date.
Alex Seckler was cooking despite his team's loss, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two RBI and one run. Erik Johnson also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.
Trinity Christian pushed their record up to 9-2 with the win, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.7 runs over those games. As for New Way Learning Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 0-8.
New Way Learning Academy's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Trinity Christian has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 9 hits per game. It's a different story for New Way Learning Academy, though, as they've been averaging 8.9 hits. Given Trinity Christian's sizable advantage in that area, the Bulldogs will need to find a way to close that gap.
Trinity Christian beat New Way Learning Academy 6-1 in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Warriors since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
