Basketball Recap: Shastyn Lewis' Big Game Can't Quite Lead Neshoba Central over Olive Branch

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Neshoba Central can now relate to. They took an 85-76 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Olive Branch Conquistadors on Friday. The Rockets' loss continues a trend for the squad, making it three in a row.

Several Rockets players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Shastyn Lewis, who posted 24 points. Those 24 points gave Lewis a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Jiar Henry, who had 24 points.

Neshoba Central's defeat dropped their record down to 14-16. As for Olive Branch, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 22-8 record this season.
