Basketball Recap: Northeast Snaps Four-Game Streak of Wins on the Road

Northeast was the 39-37 winner over Salisbury when they last played one another back in December of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Northeast Bearcats fell to the Salisbury Panthers 55-51. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Bearcats came into the contest with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 153rd, while the Panthers are ranked 308th).

Northeast's defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 6-4. As for Salisbury, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 6-5.

Northeast will challenge Sturgeon at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Salisbury, a feisty cat fight will be fought when the Salisbury Panthers face off against the Scotland County Tigers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
