Soccer Recap: Slinger Takes a Loss

There was early excitement for Slinger after they claimed the first goal on Monday, however, they wouldn't score again. They fell just short of the Kettle Moraine Lutheran Chargers by a score of 2-1. That's two games in a row now that Slinger have lost by just one goal.

Their goal came courtesy of Cole Gindt, who's now up to ten this season.

Slinger has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-6-4 record this season. As for Kettle Moraine Lutheran, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-4-2.

Looking ahead, Slinger will square off against West Bend East at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Slinger will be up against West Bend East's rather soft defense (which has allowed four goals per match), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Kettle Moraine Lutheran, they didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next contest, a 4-0 victory against Sheboygan South on the 14th.
