After a string of six wins, Middle Park's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They came up short against the Jefferson Academy Jaguars, falling 44-19. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Panthers have suffered since December 10, 2024.

Leading Jefferson Academy to victory were Elsa Nygren and Sofia Pathak. Nygren went 6-for-8 on her way to 17 points in addition to eight boards and eight steals, while Pathak almost dropped a double-double with 16 points and nine rebounds. The dominant performance also gave Nygren a new career-high in field goal percentage (75%). Avah Berlin was another key player, putting up six points.

Middle Park's loss dropped their record down to 12-10. As for Jefferson Academy, they pushed their record up to 18-5 with the victory, which was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season.
