Volleyball Recap: Elgin Comes Up Short

Elgin was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lockhart Lions. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Wildcats of the 3-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in August of 2023.

Elgin's defeat dropped their record down to 4-14. As for Lockhart, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a massive bump to their 3-9 record this season.

Elgin didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against Alvin on the 23rd. As for Lockhart, they will square off against Ellison at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
