Basketball Recap: St. Andrews-Sewanee Starts Season with Loss at Home + How To Watch

St. Andrews-Sewanee unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They were beaten by the Berean Academy Eagles 74-30 on Tuesday. The Mountain Lions were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 46-21.

Berean Academy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Daniel Wigginton, who went 6-for-10 en route to 19 points. Wigginton has been hot for a while, having posted 16 or more points the last 12 times he's played. Ryan Stansifer was another key player, shooting 67% from the field on his way to 13 points and seven assists.

St. Andrews-Sewanee wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, an 81-26 loss against Grundy County on the 19th. As for Berean Academy, they will head out on the road to take on Oakwood Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
