Basketball Recap: Meigs County Tigers vs. Sweetwater Wildcats
Meigs County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 51-38 to the Sweetwater Wildcats. The Tigers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Wildcats earlier this season, when they won 52-48.

Meigs County's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Mason Davis, who went 6 of 9 en route to 14 points, and Jaxon Hope, who went 5 for 11 on his way to 14 points. Nolan Dacus was another key player, almost dropping a double-double on 12 points and nine boards.
Meigs County's loss dropped their record down to 6-16. As for Sweetwater, their victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-4 and their overall record up to 11-7.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Meigs County will host McMinn Central at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Sweetwater, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Roane County at 6:00 p.m.
