Plant is 9-1 against Sickles since December of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Plant Panthers will take on the Sickles Gryphons at 6:30 p.m. Plant will be strutting in after a victory while Sickles will be coming in after a loss.
Plant picked up another tournament win on Monday. They came out on top against St. Petersburg by a score of 47-39. The win was all the more spectacular given the Panthers' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 306th, while the Green Devils are ranked 114th).

Plant's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Sanae Graham, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 21 boards. With that strong performance, Graham is now averaging an impressive 8.2 rebounds per game. Manning Moran was another key player, going 5 of 10 on her way to 13 points along with five rebounds and four steals.
Plant smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 20 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 12 offensive boards in three consecutive matches.
Meanwhile, Sickles came up short against Martin County on Monday, falling 71-45.
Plant will have to keep a close watch on Jadyn Watts and Kelsey Sharpe, a pair of players who had a big impact on Sickles' prior game. Watts dropped a double-double on 27 points and 11 boards, while Sharpe posted 16 points along with five assists and four steals. Sharpe is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last 24 games she's played dating back to last season.
Sickles has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-5 record this season. As for Plant, they now have a winning record of 7-6.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Plant has been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 30.9 boards per game. However, it's not like Sickles struggles in that department as they've been averaging 30.6 boards. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
Plant came up short against Sickles in their previous matchup back in February of 2024, falling 61-51. Can Plant avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
