Preview: St. John's Catholic Prep Vikings vs. Garrison Forest
St. John's Catholic Prep has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will square off against Garrison Forest at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Last Wednesday, St. John's Catholic Prep came up short against Maryvale Prep and fell 47-36. That's two games in a row now that St. John's Catholic Prep has lost by exactly 11 points.
Nadia Ferguson put forth a good effort for the losing side as she scored 22 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Cayenne Pigeon, who scored eight points.
Meanwhile, Garrison Forest's recent rough patch got a bit rougher two weeks ago after their fifth straight loss. They suffered a rough 58-37 defeat at the hands of Gerstell Academy.
St. John's Catholic Prep's defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 9-7. As for Garrison Forest, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.
St. John's Catholic Prep came up short against Garrison Forest in their previous meeting back in January of 2023, falling 35-26. Can St. John's Catholic Prep avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
