While Central's win against Weeki Wachee wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Central Bears sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 1-0 victory over the Weeki Wachee Hornets on Friday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 8-2 last Tuesday.

Central's win was truly a team effort as three different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Korbin Baskind, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases.

Central has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.2 runs over those games. Weeki Wachee's loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 4-6.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Central will square off against Hudson at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hudson has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the game with three straight defeats, while Central will come in with three straight victories. As for Weeki Wachee, they will face off against Citrus at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Weeki Wachee's pitching crew has only allowed 3.7 runs per game this season, so Citrus' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
