Softball Recap: Wharton Comes Up Short

After flying high against Sickles last Thursday, Wharton came back down to earth. The Wharton Wildcats fell just short of the Newsome Wolves by a score of 3-1 on Wednesday. The loss was the Wildcats' first of the season.

Madelyn Parker was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one triple, one double, and one RBI.

Having lost for the first time this season, Wharton fell to 2-1. As for Newsome, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Wharton will welcome Bloomingdale at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Bloomingdale will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Wharton surely won't give up without a fight. As for Newsome, they will host Chamberlain at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
