Murrieta Valley win going away against Vista Murrieta

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Centennial, The Murrieta Valley Nighthawks were happy to have found some success on Thursday. They strolled past Vista Murrieta with points to spare, taking the game 35-21. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Murrieta Valley also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2022.

Dorian Hoze had an outrageously good game as he rushed for 166 yards and four touchdowns. Derrick Johnson did his part to keep the secondary busy, picking up 81 receiving yards and a touchdown.

Murrieta Valley's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB four times. Leading the way was Troy Karg and his three sacks.

When it comes to explaining why Vista Murrieta lost, one person who can't be blamed is Alexander Vega. Despite the final result, he gained 103 total yards and two touchdowns.

Murrieta Valley's victory was their fifth straight on the road, which bumped their overall record up to 7-3. As for Vista Murrieta, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-4.

Murrieta Valley will take on Damien at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams might be coming in a bit winded given how much these teams ran in their prior games. As for Vista Murrieta, they will head out on the road to face off against Long Beach Poly at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Long Beach Poly has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 202 points over their last four matches.
