Basketball Recap: Cedar Bluff Comes Up Short

Cedar Bluff lost against Spring Garden last Friday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Cedar Bluff Tigers were beaten by the Spring Garden Panthers 78-35. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 196th, while the Panthers are ranked seventh).

Cedar Bluff has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 11-9 record this season. As for Spring Garden, their win was their 23rd straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 29-1.

Cedar Bluff won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Wellborn at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Spring Garden does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
