Lake Howell won the last time they faced Winter Springs and Decorie Johnson did his part to make sure it happened again. The Lake Howell Silverhawks simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat the Winter Springs Bears 55-18 thanks in part to Johnson, who rushed for 219 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 13.7 yards per carry. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in rushing yards.
Johnson was just one part of a punishing run game: Lake Howell was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 362 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.
Despite the loss, Winter Springs still got an impressive performance from Makiye Mcburse, who rushed for 163 yards and two touchdowns on only 14 carries, and also threw for 126 yards and a touchdown.
