Basketball Recap: Damari Evans' Big Game Can't Quite Lead Timberline over Olympia

Timberline was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. Their2024 ended with a 54-39 defeat against the Olympia Bears. The match marked the Blazers' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Several Blazers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Damari Evans, who posted eight points and five assists. The dominant performance gave Evans a new career-high in points. Another player making a difference was Kenyon Simmons, who dropped a double-double on ten points and ten rebounds.

Timberline's loss dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Olympia, their win was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 8-1.
