Basketball Recap: CenterPoint Christian Academy Comes Up Short

CenterPoint Christian Academy lost against New Life Christian Academy back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The CenterPoint Christian Academy Lions lost 72-48 to the New Life Christian Academy Knights. The contest marked the Lions' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

When it comes to explaining why CenterPoint Christian Academy lost, don't look at Jeremy Boillat. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double on 19 points and 12 rebounds. Boillat is crushing it when it comes to boards: he's pulled down at least 12 every time he's taken the court this season. Grayson Turvey was another key player, putting up 12 points.

Even though they lost, CenterPoint Christian Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive boards in six consecutive games.

CenterPoint Christian Academy now has a losing record at 5-6. As for New Life Christian Academy, the win keeps them at an undefeated 9-0.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing More Academy the next time they take the court. New Life Christian Academy will head out to face More Academy at 7:15 p.m. on Monday, while CenterPoint Christian Academy will head out to face them at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
