Basketball Recap: Martin Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

Martin and Ray squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Martin had to settle for second. They came up short against the Ray Texans, falling 87-65. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 813th, while the Texans are ranked 359th).

Martin's loss dropped their record down to 11-15. As for Ray, their victory bumped their record up to 24-12.

Martin does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Ray, they will take on McAllen Memorial at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Ray knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past 13 matches -- so hopefully McAllen Memorial likes a good challenge.
