Baseball Game Preview: Crystal River Pirates vs. Weeki Wachee Hornets

The Crystal River Pirates will challenge the Weeki Wachee Hornets at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Weeki Wachee took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Crystal River, who comes in off a win.

Crystal River's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Wednesday. They were the clear victors by an 11-0 margin over Trinity Catholic. That 11 run margin sets a new team best for the Pirates this season.

Meanwhile, Friday just wasn't the day for Weeki Wachee's offense. They lost 7-0 to Springstead on Friday. Having soared to a lofty 24 runs in the game before, the Hornets' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Weeki Wachee saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jack Strong, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base.

Crystal River's win bumped their record up to 6-13. As for Weeki Wachee, their loss dropped their record down to 10-9.
