Basketball Recap: Harpursville Takes a Loss

Harpursville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were dealt a 52-19 loss at the hands of the Walton Warriors. The matchup marked the Hornets' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Grace Walley was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 24 points and 11 rebounds for Walton. Walley has been hot for a while, having posted eight or more boards the last 13 times she's played. Another player making a difference was Alivia Conklin, who posted six points along with nine rebounds and three blocks.

Harpursville's defeat dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Walton, they now have a winning record of 5-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Harpursville will welcome Candor at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Walton, they will host Sullivan West at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
