Softball Recap: Silverton Takes a Loss

Silverton fell victim to Central and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They fell just short of the Panthers by a score of 1-0. The Foxes were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Panthers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

Silverton's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 10-6. As for Central, the victory was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 11-4.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Silverton will square off against rival McKay at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Central is set to challenge their familiar foe Dallas at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Panthers 2.9, the Dragons 3.1) so any runs scored will be well earned.
