Brookfield is 0-9 against LaBrae since April of 2021 but things could change on Monday. The Warriors will face off against the Vikings at 5:00 p.m. The two teams each escaped (but just barely!) with wins against their previous opponents.
Having struggled with eight losses in a row, Brookfield turned things around against Garfield on Thursday. They had just enough and edged out the G-Men 4-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Warriors have posted since April 21, 2025.
Joe Hook spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned (and two unearned) runs on seven hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in six consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Bray Coleman, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base. Brookfield is undefeated when Coleman posts two or more runs, but 0-13 otherwise. Pete O'Dell also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.
Meanwhile, LaBrae sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-2 win over John F. Kennedy Catholic on Thursday.
Landon Brunstetter was excellent, going 2-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.
Brookfield's record is now 4-13. As for LaBrae, their record now sits at 12-4.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Monday as neither team is afraid to steal. Brookfield has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 2.9 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like LaBrae struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 3.8 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Brookfield couldn't quite finish off LaBrae when the teams last played back in May of 2025 and fell 2-0. Can the Warriors avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
