Bell took a 13-run defeat the last time they faced off against Jackson-Reed, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Griffins sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 10-8 win over the Tigers on Tuesday. The victory was just business as usual for the Griffins, who after five games remain undefeated this season.

Bell got a big performance out of Dagmawit Addis, who got on base in three of her six plate appearances with two stolen bases and two runs. Francis Majano also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.

Bell's win bumped their record up to 5-0. As for Jackson-Reed, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 3-1.

Coming up, Bell will square off against Woodson at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Jackson-Reed, they will take on Sidwell Friends at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
