The Addison Trail Blazers will head out on the road to square off against the Glenbard West Hilltoppers at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Addison Trail has four straight victories, Glenbard West has three straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
If Addison Trail beats Glenbard West with 12 runs on Saturday, it's going to be the team's new lucky number: they've won their past two matchups with that exact score. The Blazers blew past Proviso East 12-5 on Friday. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last three times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.
Jordan Ciezobka made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he pitched 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one RBI.
In other pitching news, Robert Morales tossed a big game, striking out eight batters over 4.2 innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off four hits.

Those four runs gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Louie Franczak, who scored three runs while going 2-for-3.
Meanwhile, Glenbard West came up short against Oak Park-River Forest on Thursday and fell 7-4.
Addison Trail pushed their record up to 5-6 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.5 runs over those games. As for Glenbard West, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-6.
Addison Trail was able to grind out a solid win over Glenbard West in their previous meeting back in March of 2024, winning 7-3. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Blazers since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
