Temecula Valley came out on top against Murrieta Valley on Tuesday thanks in part to the team's impressive four-run fifth inning. The Golden Bears skirted past the Nighthawks 5-3. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 6-5 on Monday.

Grayson Martin tossed a big game, striking out six batters over 6.2 innings while giving up three earned runs off three hits.

On the hitting side, Rocco Pugliese was incredible, going 1-for-2 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base.

Temecula Valley has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-11 record this season. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of 1.33 runs across that stretch. As for Murrieta Valley, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-19.

Temecula Valley will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Nighthawks: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
