Basketball Recap: Covenant Christian Comes Up Short

After flying high against Hopkins last Thursday, Covenant Christian came back down to earth. The Covenant Christian Chargers were dealt a 63-25 loss at the hands of the West Catholic Falcons on Wednesday. While losing is never fun, the Chargers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 280th, while the Falcons are ranked eighth).

Covenant Christian has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-15 record this season. West Catholic's victory bumped their record up to 19-3.

Covenant Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for West Catholic, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 66-40 win against Unity Christian on the 7th.
