Volleyball Recap: Frankel Jewish Academy of Metro Detroit Takes a Loss

Frankel Jewish Academy of Metro Detroit was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They came up short against the Our Lady of the Lakes Lakers, falling 3-0. The Jaguars were not able to make up for their loss to the Lakers from their previous meeting back in September of 2024.

Frankel Jewish Academy of Metro Detroit was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the second set very close. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-22, 25-10.

Our Lady of the Lakes can attribute much of their success to Sophia Iakovides, who had ten digs and three assists. Iakovides is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last three games she's played.

Frankel Jewish Academy of Metro Detroit's defeat dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Our Lady of the Lakes, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-10-2 record this season.

Frankel Jewish Academy of Metro Detroit wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-1 win against Detroit Cristo Rey on the 30th. As for Our Lady of the Lakes, they have also already played their next match, a 3-2 loss against Cardinal Mooney Catholic on the 30th.
