Basketball Recap: Stone Mountain Comes Up Short

Stone Mountain played a tough game on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were outmatched by the Luella Lions and fell 95-36. The Pirates were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 42-19.

When it comes to explaining why Stone Mountain lost, don't look at Makayla Wilson. Despite the final result, she posted 25 points. The match was Wilson's fifth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Saniya Tayor, who put up nine points.

Stone Mountain now has a losing record at 4-5. As for Luella, their victory was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-2.
