Quitman waltzed into their game on Friday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They breezed by the Doyline Panthers to the tune of 55-11. Given the Wolverines' advantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 75th, while the Panthers are ranked 346th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Quitman pushed their record up to 18-9 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 17.7 points over those games. As for Doyline, they are on a 14-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-19.

Looking ahead, Quitman will head out on the road to square off against Ruston at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Quitman knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past three matches -- so hopefully Ruston likes a good challenge. As for Doyline, they will be playing at home against Weston at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
