Lakota West had already won six in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 12.8 points) and they went ahead and made it seven on Friday. They came out on top against the Oak Hills Highlanders by a score of 54-47. This was a revenge game for the Firebirds: when they faced off against the Highlanders back in January, they had to take a 43-31 loss.

Lakota West's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 19-5. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.8 points over those games. As for Oak Hills, the defeat snapped their winning streak at eight games and leaves them with a 16-8 record.
