Basketball Game Preview: Banks County Leopards vs. Rabun County Wildcats

The Banks County Leopards are taking a road trip to square off against the Rabun County Wildcats at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Banks County knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past five contests -- so hopefully Rabun County likes a good challenge.

Banks County can't be too worried about heading out to take on Rabun County: they just beat Commerce at home, who had been dominant on their own court up to that point. Banks County came out on top against Commerce by a score of 64-51 on Saturday.

It was another big night for Kolby Watson, who dropped a double-double on 24 points and ten rebounds. His evening made it 12 games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Caden Watson, who went 7 of 11 en route to 15 points and six boards.

Meanwhile, after a string of seven wins, Rabun County's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They received a blow as they fell 67-49 to Commerce. The match marked the Wildcats' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Banks County has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-8 record this season. As for Rabun County, their defeat ended a six-game streak of away wins and brought them to 18-4.

Banks County was dealt a bruising 81-48 loss at the hands of Rabun County in their previous meeting on January 7th. Can Banks County avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
