After a string of eight wins, Carbon's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Salt Lake Academy Griffins. The Dinos were not able to make up for their loss to the Griffins from their previous meeting back in May of 2024.

Salt Lake Academy found their leader in sophomore Ryder Harrison, who had 17 digs and six assists.

Carbon's defeat dropped their record down to 12-6. As for Salt Lake Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 12 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-6 record this season.

Carbon didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-2 loss against American Heritage on the 12th. As for Salt Lake Academy, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 3-0 victory against North Sanpete on the 12th.
