Helix is 9-1 against El Capitan since May of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Highlanders will be playing at home against the Vaqueros at 4:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Helix is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 12 runs on Friday, they were much more limited against Granite Hills on Tuesday. They came up short against the Eagles, falling 9-1. The Highlanders haven't had much luck with the Eagles recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

Helix got a good showing from Elijah Martinez, who pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Martinez has been consistent for a while: he hasn't given up more than one walk any time he's pitched this season.

At the plate, Helix saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ben Williams, who went 1-for-3 with one RBI.

Meanwhile, El Capitan lost 18-1 to Granite Hills on Thursday.

Helix's loss dropped their record down to 13-11. As for El Capitan, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-13 record this season.

Helix was able to grind out a solid win over El Capitan in their previous meeting two weeks ago, winning 4-1. Do the Highlanders have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Vaqueros turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
