Preview: Hagerman Pirates vs. Horseshoe Bend Mustangs
The Hagerman Pirates will look to defend their home court on Thursday against the Horseshoe Bend Mustangs at 6:00 p.m. Hagerman has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 201 points over their last three contests.
Hagerman pushed their score all the way to 63 on Wednesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell just short of Dietrich by a score of 65-63.
Even though Horseshoe Bend has not done well against Council recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. Horseshoe Bend came out on top against Council by a score of 51-42. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Horseshoe Bend.
Horseshoe Bend got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Porter Larson out in front who scored 16 points along with three steals. Layth Bromgard was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 17 points and ten rebounds.
Hagerman's defeat dropped their record down to 8-7. As for Horseshoe Bend, they now have a winning record of 10-9.
Hagerman beat Horseshoe Bend 45-36 in their previous matchup back in December of 2019. Will Hagerman repeat their success, or does Horseshoe Bend have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
