Amondra Moffett Tops All Others This Week

Starting off the list is Raymond's Amondra Moffett, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Moffett's rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 127 rushing yards. He showed off some serious burst, cutting through the defense on one rush that went for 67 yards.

Raymond's win ended a five-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-4. Moffett and Raymond will host Richland at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

While Lanier might've come up empty on Thursday, Jamison Kelly wasn't going down without a fight. Kelly was dynamite, rushing for 48 yards.

Lanier moved to 7-1 with that loss, which also ended their seven-game winning streak. Kelly and Lanier will take on Murrah at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Jeremiah Wilson Makes It Two for Lanier

Keeping Kelly company is Jeremiah Wilson, a fellow Lanier player. He rushed for 85 yards and a touchdown.

On the season, Wilson has run in 10 touchdowns while averaging 162.7 rushing yards per game. He is looking even better than he did last year: after six games last season, he was only averaging 66.83 rushing yards per game.

Shamar Sawyer continued his hot streak on Thursday by dropping his 18th-straight game (dating back to last season) with at least five total tackles. He made ten total tackles.

McComb's win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-5. Sawyer and McComb will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Raymond at 7:00 p.m. on November 1st.
