Mount St. Mary entered their tilt with Sulphur on Monday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They walked away with a 9-5 victory over the Bulldogs. That's two games straight that the Rockets have won by exactly four runs.

Cord Brown was a standout: he went 2-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and one double. Another player making a difference was Will Grayson, who scored three runs and stole two bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Brown wasn't the only one working in the home run department: Mount St. Mary lost a few balls and finished the game with three home runs. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now launched at least two home runs in three consecutive matchups.

Mount St. Mary pushed their record up to 16-7 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.3 runs over those games. As for Sulphur, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 14-6 record this season.

Mount St. Mary will have a chance to go back-to-back against Sulphur: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
