Lake Central's tournament run continued when they took on Limestone on Saturday. Lake Central wrapped up 2024 with a 65-46 victory over Limestone.

Meanwhile, Homestead faced Lawrence Central in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. Homestead came up short against Lawrence Central, falling 66-42. The contest marked the Spartans' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Lake Central is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.8 points per game. As for Homestead, the loss snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 12-2 record.
