Soccer Recap: Ida Baker Snags Third Victory in Last Four Games

Ida Baker won the last time they faced Canterbury and things went their way on Thursday too. The Ida Baker Bulldogs came out on top against the Canterbury Cougars by a score of 3-1. The game got a bit rough at times, as the refs handed out a total of four yellow cards before it was all over.

Reed Verblaauw and Santiago Gonzalez scored all three of Ida Baker's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 24 goals.

Ida Baker has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 9-6-3 record this season. As for Canterbury, their loss dropped their record down to 11-3-2.

Ida Baker will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Charlotte at 7:00 p.m. on January 28th. Charlotte is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3.5 goals per game this season. Canterbury does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
