The Banneker Trojans are taking a road trip to challenge the Newnan Cougars at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Banneker is looking for their season's first win.

Banneker fell victim to Mundy's Mill and their airtight defense on Monday. They lost 10-0 to the Tigers. While losing is never fun, the Trojans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia soccer rankings (they are ranked 387th, while the Tigers are ranked 151st).

Meanwhile, after some red-hot attacks on offense in their last four matches, Newnan finally came back down to earth on Tuesday. They fell 2-0 to McIntosh. The Cougars' defeat signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Banneker's loss dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Newnan, their defeat was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 5-4.
