The Lincolnwood Lancers will be home for the holidays to greet the Southwestern Piasa Birds at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. Southwestern took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Lincolnwood, who comes in off a win.
Lincolnwood had to endure a four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They walked away with a 30-22 victory over Sangamon Valley/Tri-City on Monday.
Meanwhile, Southwestern was the victim of a rough 53-33 defeat at the hands of North Mac on Monday. Southwestern has not had much luck with North Mac recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Despite the defeat, Southwestern had strong showings from Vivian Zurheide, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and ten rebounds, and Gracie Darr, who scored ten points. Zurheide scored a full 39.4% of Southwestern's points, the sixth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Lincolnwood's win bumped their record up to 4-8. As for Southwestern, they now have a losing record at 5-6.
