Rison is a perfect 7-0 against Drew Central since September of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Wildcats are taking a road trip to face off against the Pirates at 7:00 p.m.

On Friday, Rison was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 30-24 to McGehee. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, the third road contest was the charm for Drew Central, as they earned their first away victory of the season. They put the hurt on Lakeside with a sharp 35-14 win on Friday. The score was all tied up 14-14 at the break, but the Pirates were the (much) better team in the second half.

The victory got Drew Central back to even at 3-3. As for Rison, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

Everything came up roses for Rison against Drew Central when the teams last played back in October of 2024, as the squad secured a 56-13 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Wildcats since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
