Basketball Recap: South Point Red Raiders vs. North Buncombe Black Hawks
South Point lost against North Buncombe last Saturday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Red Raiders fell just short of the Black Hawks by a score of 65-63. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Thursday (59), the Red Raiders still had to take the loss.
It was another big night for Trent Clark, who went 15-for-24 en route to 36 points in addition to five assists and five rebounds for North Buncombe. That makes it four consecutive games in which Clark has scored at least a third of the Black Hawks' points. The team also got some help courtesy of Matthew Ledford, who posted 19 points along with seven boards and three steals.
