Malik Payton Game Report: vs Jefferson Davis County

Opposing passers better start keeping an eye on Malik Payton: he recorded his first sack on Friday and we're guessing he's looking for more. He also made five total tackles (1.0 for loss), but sadly East Marion still had to take a 28-22 loss at the hands of Jefferson Davis County. We hope Payton's good effort is the first of many we'll see posted here on MaxPreps.com.

Looking ahead, Payton and East Marion are taking a road trip to challenge Sacred Heart at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Sadly, Payton's big day wasn't enough to stop the loss, which snapped the Eagles' four-game streak of wins at home.
