Softball Recap: Antelope Valley Takes a Loss

Antelope Valley extended their losing streak to nine on Tuesday, dropping their season record down to 3-16 in the process. They came up short against the Quartz Hill Royals, falling 13-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Royals this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 21-0 back in March.

As for Quartz Hill, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 17-6. 13 seems to be a good number for they as the squad scooped up a victory with the same number of runs in their previous game.

For Quartz Hill's part, Nina Sepulveda was a standout: she went 3-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and one double. Emily Cowan also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Antelope Valley will take on rival Knight at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Quartz Hill is set to challenge their familiar foe Highland at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday.
