Basketball Game Preview: Royal Palm Beach Wildcats vs. Park Vista Cobras

Royal Palm Beach is 1-6 against Park Vista since January of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. The Royal Palm Beach Wildcats will venture away from home to square off against the Park Vista Cobras at 7:30 p.m. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Royal Palm Beach comes in on four and Park Vista on seven.

Last Thursday, Royal Palm Beach earned a 43-31 win over Glades Central.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Royal Palm Beach to victory, but perhaps none more so than Aria Junious, who posted 14 points. Nevaeh Mallory was another key player, putting up ten points.

Meanwhile, Park Vista humbled Santaluces with a 51-23 victory. The Cobras have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six contests by 23 points or more this season.

Park Vista found their leader in freshman Tyaiwana Ousley, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 13 rebounds. That makes it ten consecutive games in which Ousley has scored at least a third of Park Vista's points. Another player making a difference was Petra Romero, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 13 boards.

Park Vista pushed their record up to 9-3 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 23.3 points per game. As for Royal Palm Beach, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 7-5 record this season.

Royal Palm Beach was dealt a bruising 60-28 loss at the hands of Park Vista when the teams last played back in January of 2024. Thankfully for Royal Palm Beach, Saniya Frazier (who put up 27 points in addition to seven steals and five rebounds) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
