Volleyball Game Preview: Chetopa Hornets vs. Baxter Springs Lions

Chetopa hasn't had much luck against Baxter Springs recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Hornets will square off against the Lions.

On Thursday, Chetopa came up short against Oswego and fell 2-0.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-6, 25-8.

Meanwhile, Baxter Springs had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Monday. They came out on top against the Panthers by a score of 2-0.

While Baxter Springs won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the first set they played. The match finished with set scores of 28-26, 25-20.

Chetopa's loss dropped their record down to 1-14-3. As for Baxter Springs, their win bumped their record up to 19-8.

Chetopa couldn't quite get it done against Baxter Springs when the teams last played back in October of 2024 as they fell 2-0. Can the Hornets avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
