Basketball Recap: Warren County Comes Up Short

If Warren County was riding high fresh off their 73-52 takedown of Treutlen on Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Screaming Devils took a 67-56 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hancock Central Bulldogs on Saturday. The Screaming Devils were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bulldogs apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in December of 2024.

Warren County's loss dropped their record down to 5-2. As for Hancock Central, the win got them back to even at 4-4.

Coming up, Warren County will head out on the road to face off against Greene County at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Screaming Devils will be up against the Tigers' rather soft defense (which has allowed 72.5 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. Hancock Central and Jasper County will compete for holiday cheer at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
